We are a team of psychologists that work with personal and interpersonal practice with individuals, children, couples and families. Using psychodynamic and evidence based approaches, our focus is on holistic healing, integrating mind, body and soul with possibility.
“Every human has four endowments – self-awareness, conscience, independent will, and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom… The power to choose, to respond, to change.” ~ Stephen Covey
Dr. Shannon Dobbs
A clinical psychologist working in the field for over 10 years. Empathic and supported therapeutic connection is always the foundation of my practice. My focus is working with relationships and couples. I help couples with communication pitfalls and delve deep to the true source of the problem, while encouraging presence and awareness.
I also work with individuals struggling with depression and anxiety. Typically, Gestalt and psychodynamically focused, the goal is real results not a client for life. The work can be intense and challenging but with support provided in a safe environment to explore and re-awaken, the process can be truly transformational.
Feeling understood, cared for, and emotionally connected to the person we share our inner thoughts and feelings with is essential in building a therapeutic alliance. It is a facet of therapy that enables vulnerability, healing, and growth. As life can be very hard sometimes, I strive to serve as a sounding board for change, self-acceptance, and growth.
With guidance and support, my clients develop new coping skills and strategies to work through life's challenges while repairing emotional and psychological wounds. I work with individuals, families and children/adolescence.
I am currently employed as a psychological assistant while working towards my doctorate degree in clinical psychology.
